1) Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to ensure that all employees are adequately trained in emergency procedures to respond effectively during critical incidents, minimizing risks to personnel, property, and the environment.

2) Scope

This SOP applies to all employees, contractors, and temporary staff in the facility. It includes training programs for fire safety, evacuation, first aid, chemical spills, and other emergency scenarios.

3) Responsibilities

  • Training Coordinator: Develop and implement emergency training programs.
  • Supervisors: Ensure employees in their departments participate in scheduled training sessions.
  • Safety Officers: Oversee training compliance and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • HR Department: Maintain records of training sessions and employee participation.

4) Procedure

4.1 Developing Training Programs

  1. Identify Training Needs:
    • Conduct a risk assessment to determine the types of emergencies most likely to occur.
    • Develop training modules for scenarios such as fires, chemical spills, natural disasters, and medical emergencies.
